He started out in the multisport category at just 6 years old at the Triatl\u00f3n Ontinyent club school, where he stayed until moving to CEA B\u00e9tera. The result he is most proud of so far is his silver medal at the 2022 European Youth Championships. In 2024 he came within touching distance of the podium at both the European and the World Championships.<\/p>\n<p>In 2026 he faces what most experts consider the toughest season for any triathlete: the step up from junior to U23. H\u00e9ctor makes his U23 debut at the Quarteira European Cup, and his goal is to establish himself as an U23 athlete in senior international competition, especially in World Cup races, a stage on which he has already competed three times: Valencia in 2024, and Japan and Korea in 2025.
