She took up athletics at the age of 9 at the Valencian Community athletics school (EMID Valencia) and has worn the colours of Metaesport Ribarroja de Turia, Juventud Atl\u00e9tica Elche, Super Amara BAT and, since 2026, Metaesport. She began competing in the U10 category and the result she is most proud of is sixth place over 1,500 m at the 2025 Spanish U23 Indoor Championships.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Sporting achievements&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>Her <strong>best results:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-6th, Spanish U23 Indoor Championships in 2025 (Sabadell), 1,500 m<\/p>\n<p>-7th, Spanish U23 Individual Cross-Country Championships in 2025 (Getafe).<\/p>\n<p>-Appearances at the Spanish senior indoor and outdoor championships.<\/p>\n<p>-Regional university champion over 1,500 m (Castell\u00f3n 2024)<\/p>\n<p>Her <strong>personal bests:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-800 m: 2:13:30<\/p>\n<p>-1,500 m: 4:22:86<\/p>\n<p>-10K road: 35:28<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>What you might not know about Luc\u00eda&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>Luc\u00eda has a twin sister called Mar\u00eda who is also an elite athlete. Luc\u00eda was born first, but the doctor told their mother that Mar\u00eda was the elder because she had spent longer in the womb, so Luc\u00eda is the younger of the Valero sisters. Since 2026 they have worn the Metaesport colours together, the club where they both started out in the U16 category, although their competitive paths later diverged and Luc\u00eda went on to compete for Juventud Atl\u00e9tica de Elche and Super Amara BAT. The resemblance between them, even though they are not identical twins, is remarkable: to tell them apart you have to look for a freckle on Mar\u00eda&#8217;s face.
