She took up athletics at the age of 5 at the Valencia Club Atletismo school, and it is the club with which she has spent her entire sporting career to date. She began competing in the U8 category simply as a way of doing sport and having fun. The result she is most proud of is her 2025 long jump mark of 6.79 metres, a distance that makes her the seventh-best Spaniard in history, behind a list of illustrious names such as Niurka Montalvo, Concha Montaner, Fátima Diame, Juliet Itoya, María Vicente and Tessy Ebosele. That mark made her the European U23 leader for 2025 going into the European U23 Championships in Bergen.

Sporting achievements…

Main results:

-60 m indoors: 7.84, December 2020, Luis Puig Velodrome (Valencia).

-100 m: 12.11 (+1.3 wind), May 2023, Estadi Joan Serrahima (Barcelona).

-Long jump: 6.79 m, June 2025, Los Pajaritos Stadium (Soria).

-1st, Spanish U23 Championships long jump 2025

-3rd, Spanish Short Track Championships long jump 2026

What you might not know about Evelyn…

Evelyn is studying a double degree in Early Years and Primary Education.
