Aitana Mart\u00edn Bautista is a very young athlete from Talavera de la Reina. She is the niece of the rider<\/strong> Alvar<\/a>o<\/a> Bautista<\/a>, 125cc motorcycle world champion (2006) and world runner-up in 250cc (2008) and Superbikes (2019). <\/p>\n

Like many other children in the province of Toledo, she started running for fun, but it was soon clear that her legs held a special talent for athletics.<\/p>\n

At just over 11 years old, Aitana Mart\u00edn Bautista caught the attention of former professional athlete Aar\u00f3n de la Cuadra<\/a>, owner and director of the company Evedeport<\/a>, who is currently managing her preparation.
\n\u201cI\u2019ve spent practically my whole life, as they say, living among athletes. When I first saw Aitana run, I immediately realized she has a special talent for middle distance. Those of us who have dedicated ourselves to this<\/em> \u2013De la Cuadra achieved his best times in the 1,500m\u2013 have a sixth sense for identifying that special \u2018something\u2019 that suggests someone has special conditions for athletics. I am convinced that Aitana can be a great athlete because she has innate talent.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

1,000m in 3:20<\/h3>\n

Aitana, with only one year of experience in athletics, is capable of running 1,000m in 3:20. \u201cAs a U14, she can be among the top 5 athletes in Spain in the 1,000m and I believe her progression can be extraordinary. Last year she already ran the 1,000m in 3:20, but I\u2019m sure she will significantly improve that mark in no time,\u201d says De la Cuadra. <\/p>\n

Her cross-country season throughout 2022 has been very exciting, with three first-place finishes in her category and several second-place finishes.<\/p>\n

    “She has managed to be among the best runners in Spain and that shows she has great talent,” says her coach. “She is at an age of many changes, but we are very optimistic about her projection. She is disciplined and very enthusiastic when it comes to training and competing.
