Knowing a little about Aitana Martin Bautista

Aitana is a sub-14 runner from Talavera de la Reina who has already begun to stand out and shine in cross country and middle distance events in the province of Toledo. Aitana is the “youngest” of the team of ambassadors 42K. Like many other boys and girls in the province of Toledo, she started running for fun, but it was soon seen that her legs had a special talent for athletics. At just over 11 years old, she caught the attention of former professional athlete Aarón de la Cuadra, who now directs her preparation. «When I saw Aitana run for the first time, I immediately realized that she has a special talent for the midfielder. Those of us who have dedicated ourselves to this "We know how to identify that special 'something' that makes you have special conditions for athletics," De la Cuadra comments.

Personal sporting achievements…

When he had barely been practicing athletics regularly for a year, he was able to run the 1.000m in 3'20". His cross country season throughout 2022 has been very exciting, with three first places in his category (Cross de Cantimpalos, Cross de Sonseca and Cross de los Molinos) and with several second places. He also had outstanding performances in the Cross Internacional de Alcobendas (4th), in the Cross Internacional Itálica (6th) and in the Cross Internacional de Atapuerca (11th).  “She has managed to be among the best runners in Spain and that shows that she has great talent”, assures his preparer. “She is at an age of many changes, but she is very disciplined and very enthusiastic when it comes to training and competing. Everything suggests that she can be one of the runners who will do important things in Spanish national athletics in the coming years ”concludes Aarón de la Cuadra

Aitana Martín Bautista is the niece of the pilot Alvaro Bautista, 125cc motorcycling world champion (2006) and runner-up in the 250cc world (2008) and superbikes (2019).
