La Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) It is a neurodegenerative disease that affects the motor neurons of the brain, brainstem and spinal cord, which are the cells responsible for transmitting the order of voluntary movement from the brain to the muscles.

The degeneration of motor neurons causes the brain to progressively lose its ability to control muscle movement. Affected people have muscle atrophy which, as it progresses, causes progressive paralysis. In addition to affecting motor autonomy, it also damages the ability to speak, swallow and breathe.

Nowadays There is not a cure for this disease which, in general, evolves very quickly and there is still no treatment available to slow down or stop the degenerative process.

KMSXELA is a private initiative emerged from the determination of a fan of running, Xavi, for lending a hand to help give ALS visibility and also collaborate in the fundraising to investigate this disease.

T-shirts running kmsxela were the first technical garments that saw the light and later other technical products were added such as sweatshirts, bandanas, arm warmers...

A part of the amount of these kmsxela solidarity products is donated Catalan ALS Foundation Miquel Valls. This non-profit organization promotes all kinds of actions aimed at improving the quality of life of people affected by ALS and their families.

There are already hundreds of corredpray and heartredYou pray throughout Spain that they wear the colors of KMSXELA to help give visibility to this terrible disease.
