Knowing a little about Fran naranjo

Sport is Fran's profession and passion. Graduated in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, he is currently the sports director of an important sports center. After various successes in national and regional OCR tests and some good European results, in 2021 he decided to focus on trail tests running long distance with the challenge of qualifying and competing at UTMB MONT-BLANC. His paradise is the mountains and he gets lost in it whenever he can to run, climb, trek…

Sports achievements…

Between 2018 and 2020, he reached a high level in OCR tests in the highest national category and achieved important results, including: 1st in the national obstacle racing league of his category, 2nd National OCR Championship (also in category), 1st Spartan Beast Madrid (age group), 2nd Spartan Super Mallorca (age group)... And he also competed in international events such as OCR World Championship London 2019, Spartan European Championship Italia 2019, Spartan Ultra Beast Andorra (3rd age group)... From 2021 he dedicated himself almost exclusively to trail tests running long distance with participation in races such as Ultra Buff Epic Trail, Territorio Templario, Spartan Trail Ultra Tenerife (5th G/2nd senior), CDH-UTMB World Series Major... In 2022 he achieved second place as a senior in the Autonomous Championship of the Valencian Community long distance. A knee operation has kept him in dry dock for a few months in 2023, but his legs are once again racking up kilometers in demanding mountain tests.

What you may not know about Fran is…

Whenever his work and training allow him, he escapes to the mountains. It has crowned the three highest peaks in Spain: Pico del Teide (3.715m), Pico Mulhacén (3.479m) and Pico Aneto (3.404m, the highest in the Pyrenees). And since he has already reached the highest peaks in Spain, he is already thinking of new challenges to continue touching the clouds.
