The Athletics Federation of the Valencian Community (FACV) has officially presented the new technical competition and leisure kits that will be worn, starting from the 2026 season, by the athletes representing the regional team in various national and international competitions.
The Valencian brand 42K Running has been responsible for bringing these new garments to life, with a design that completely renews the image of the Valencian team and reinforces the identity, modernity, and competitive spirit of athletics in the Valencian Community.

New image for the Valencian athletics team
The presentation ceremony took place on Saturday, January 10, at the Centre Cultural i Esportiu La Petxina in Valencia, and was attended by the Sports Councilor of the Valencia City Council, Rocío Gil, who accompanied the president of the FACV, María José Orugo, and the manager of 42K Running, Guillermo Peñalver, as well as representatives of Valencian athletics.

During the event, the new designs were shown, which will be used in competition from 2026 by the different categories and modalities of the regional team, confirming the federation’s commitment to a modern, recognizable image aligned with the demands of high sports performance.
Six athletes from the Valencian Community acted as models for the occasion: Laura Domene (new regional 10K road record), Paula Blanquer, María Valero, Nacho Aledo, Sergio Carbó, and Rafa Mahiques.

María José Orugo, president of the FACV, satisfied with the modernization of the image
The president of the FACV, María José Orugo, highlighted the important step forward that this new kit represents, underlining the modernization of the Valencian team’s image and the added value of having a specialized technical brand like 42K, capable of supporting athletes both in competition and in their daily sporting lives.
“The design of this new kit conveys things that were very important to us and that I personally asked to be reflected: the strength, determination, and resilience of the Valencian Community and its athletics. We wanted the regional team’s new kit to reflect pride in belonging to a land and a people, the Valencian Community, which stands united when it must, as shown during the DANA tragedy; and I want that unity to be reflected in Valencian athletics, and I work every day to make it so. I am convinced that when we go to competitions with this new kit, we will feel very proud of what we are representing,” says the president of the FACV, María José Orugo.

The new garments have been developed specifically to meet the demands of high-level athletics, combining textile technology, functionality, and design, and adapting to the needs of disciplines as diverse as sprinting, long-distance, jumps, throws, trail running…
Design inspired by Valencian identity and athletics
The new design keeps the traditional orange and black colors, distinctive of the Valencian team, but incorporates an aesthetic evolution with a strong conceptual component.
The kit is inspired by elements deeply linked to the identity of the Valencian Community, such as oranges and flowers, symbols of tradition, vitality, and Mediterranean character.

These references are reinterpreted from a sporting perspective, introducing clear nods to the world of athletics, such as the lines of the running tracks or textures that evoke the earth, an essential element in disciplines like cross-country, trail, or outdoor events.

The result is a kit that balances roots and modernity, territorial identity, and athletic language, shaping a contemporary design that connects the essence of the Valencian Community with values inherent to athletics: effort, perseverance, speed, and self-improvement.
42K and the pride of outfitting the Valencian Community athletics team
For 42K, this project represents a particularly significant milestone in the brand’s history, as expressed by its manager, Guillermo Peñalver, during the official presentation:
“Today is a very special day for 42K. Firstly, I want to thank the Athletics Federation of the Valencian Community for the trust they have placed in our brand. And special thanks to its president, María José Orugo, and the entire federation team for their closeness and willingness to reach an understanding at all times. Working like this ensures that projects not only turn out well but also have a soul.”

Peñalver also wanted to highlight the emotional component of this agreement for a company born in the Valencian Community:
“For 42K, as a Valencian company, it is a source of enormous pride and satisfaction to outfit the Valencian Community athletics team. We firmly believe in the sporting talent of this land and also in the ability of Valencian companies to provide innovation, quality, and commitment at the highest level.”

Textile innovation at the service of high performance
The development of the new Valencian athletics team kit has involved exhaustive work in both design and textile development. Each garment has been conceived to offer maximum comfort, lightness, breathability, and freedom of movement, key aspects when it comes to supporting athletes competing at the highest level.

“Behind each garment there are many hours of work in its design and technical development, but there is also excitement, respect, and admiration for the athletes who will defend these colors. 42K’s wish is for them to compete with maximum comfort, with the confidence of wearing garments designed to perform at their best and, above all, with pride in representing the Valencian Community,” commented the manager of 42K.
A project that unites innovation, territory, and the future
With this new kit, 42K and the Athletics Federation of the Valencian Community establish a collaboration based on shared values: commitment to sport, a focus on innovation, respect for their own identity, and a look toward the future.

From 2026, the athletes of the Valencian team will compete in a kit that not only meets the technical demands of high performance but also visually represents a land, a community, and a way of understanding athletics.
