Athletics and running clubs are increasingly places where sport goes hand in hand with community and personal growth. Beyond performance, they’re an opportunity to share experiences, build connections and encourage an active, healthy lifestyle. Because when you surround yourself with people who share your passion, training and racing are twice as enjoyable.
In this sense, the sports club Esteso Runners is a great example. A club that took its first strides back in 2017 and that today has more than 150 members, mainly split between Elche and Callosa. And its name is pure athletics, because the Esteso family has always been linked to this sport. Pedro, Juan Carlos and Mari Luz Esteso have always lived and breathed athletics—first on the track and later, as you can still see today, coaching runners and organising events. Their next step has been to raise the bar and wear a new 42K look.

But it won’t be only the club members who get to enjoy the new Custom 42K line with technical fabrics and top-quality finishes—the events they organise will too.
Of all the races they’re responsible for, such as the Tardebuena Runner or various charity training sessions, the standout is the Elche Night Race. This night-time event has already become a classic on the national calendar over the 10K and 5K distances, filling the land of palm trees with colour and sport. A race that started in 2022 with 1,600 entrants and has grown year after year (2,400 in 2023, 3,300 in 2024 and 4,400 in 2025), and that aims in 2026 to reach 5,500 runners. In this way, 42K joins another of the country’s major running events.
