Train at -3,5º C.

When, despite adversity, we decide to train……… sometimes we say that it is a matter of FAITH. We call it FAITH because we can't find another word to define what drives us to do it under these conditions.

Today it was -3.5 degrees at 7:30 in the morning and it was not yet dawn. But on another occasion it might have been the rain or the wind. The fact is that we wanted to run and we have done it for 1:45 minutes or so. The route, in the bed of the Turia natural park at the height of L'Eliana, was impressive. The cold was intense, to the point of freezing any stagnant water overnight. As we headed towards La Cañada following the river bank, the sun was rising little by little. The fog covered parts of the route and as we approached our first stop the sun began to disappear. It was 8:40 when we arrived at La Cañada, without a soul in the streets and with a cold of….bells, first stop. Water and period, because just after a minute we continued through the Vallesa forest in the direction of L'Eliana. More frozen puddles and colder until Entrepinos where we have stopped again before reaching L'Eliana. Finally around 9:25 approximately we arrived at our destination after cold, cold, and colder…but it has been, in two words…spectacular.

Finally 19.600 Km of FAITH……direct to the vein that makes you a believer for one more season…….How cold.
