Infini_Tech, fabric running recycled from plastic bottles

With the addition in 2020 of Infini_Tech to our catalog of technical fabrics, gave life to a new generation of collections that have a badge that identifies them as 100% recycled.

We can proudly point out that 42K became in 2020 the First Spanish company specialized in technical sports textiles for sporting events who brought to the market a collection of t-shirts for running made with polyester yarn obtained from the recycling of plastic bottles and, therefore, with the 100% recycled label.

Infini_Tech, the fabric running recycling of 42K, is made with a polyester thread that is obtained from small balls called 'chaff', which is the recycled material used plastic bottles are transformed into.

Elements, the first collection with fabric running recycling

The production of the Infini_Tech fabric meant throughout 2020 the transformation of more than two million PET plastic bottles into recycled material (“pellets”) to give life to the Collection Elements, first collection of technical t-shirts 42K made with fabric running recycling.

As a curiosity, and in order to better quantify the importance of this recycling process, each t-shirt made with fabric running recycled Infini_Tech contains an amount of polyester yarn approximately equivalent to 20 plastic bottles of 500ml.; In other words: each t-shirt made with fabric running Recycling involves the transformation of 20 half-liter plastic bottles.

The tissue running recycled Infini_Tech offers all the necessary characteristics to make technical garments for running of the highest quality. Infini_Tech offers the same lightness and breathability features as fabric made with normal polyester, but with a big difference: it is a less impact on the planet.

The Elements it was a sales success and has meant a before and after in the history of 42K as a sportswear brand. In 2022 the collection Elements grew with the addition of the strap version.

Ozone, 100% recycled collection with full sublimated print

And after the success of Elements has seen the light collection Ozone, the second collection of technical shirts 42K made with fabric running recycled. Ozone has become the star collection of the 2022-2023 catalog of 42K. This new collection of technical t-shirts for running 100% recycled has designs with full sublimated print.

The most demanding runners can find in this collection the best features thanks to the excellent breathability and lightness of its Infini_Tech fabric. Like the collection Elements, Ozone It has a differentiated pattern for runner and runner.

Likewise, it also incorporates state-of-the-art treatments in the fabric to favor the fast dry, soft to prevent chafing or irritations and the color setting so that the intensity and vividness of these does not deteriorate with the passage of time or washing.

New life to PET plastic bottles

Recycling is one of the actions necessary to respond to the global warming, the main problem facing our planet.
Betting on recycling is a necessary commitment to contribute to caring for the environment, but also as an important support for sustainable development, since it allows saving natural resources that are not infinite.
