Rober tells us about his experience as a guide runner

by Paco Amoros

I'm back in command, today I'm going to tell you about my debut as a guide in a foot race, I am Rober. Saturday Hector and me 1+1=one we debuted in the Saint Silvestre of Ribarroja on a 4km route.

He started the day accompanying Héctor to a awards ceremony ELEVEN in which they rewarded him for his results obtained in the season. Congratulations Crack! A pleasure to accompany you.

After the celebration the serious thing began, at 17:XNUMX p.m. Hector and his father came to pick me up in Bétera, in the car the typical fears and excuses: "Today my legs are very loaded" Hector said, thank goodness they were loaded ... a little more and he leaves me alone in the middle of the race!

Today we premiered equipment running, today we premiered our first sponsor who bets on us, 42k running he gave us his kit.

Technical T-shirt de running high-end, the model « Arrow «, sublimated with our slogan, 1+1=1, we are tremendously grateful to 42K Running for your support and trust in our project.

technical shirt running

Soft, breathable, comfortable T-shirt, with a good size, in short, everything we ask of a good technical t-shirt running.

We warm up in the absence of 20 minutes to start. A little run continues with some stretching and some progression to raise a little pulse, we see that the sensations are good.

We approach the starting arch and try to sneak into the top 20 so as not to have problems in the first few meters and a few minutes later they start, we started the first kilometer strong to get a good position in the race and avoid groups of people, first kilometer quite bearable, nothing to do with the rest of the race, with continuous ups and downs with numerous tight turns which has forced me to continually be on top of Hector warning you and helping you in turns.

We passed the second kilometer, we continued at a fairly high pace, although we are already feeling the fatigue and the continuous ups and downs. Between the second and the third kilometer in a poorly marked turn we get confused and go where it does not touch, we lose about 10-15 seconds but no position. This failure gives us more strength to continue and press and we give each other messages of encouragement. Alone we have a kilometer left and we clench our teeth and we give the rest and we manage to overtake two participants.

We make one last effort on the finish line and pass hand in hand, raising our arms. We have not arrived the first, but for us it has been a triumph. Very happy with the time achieved and with the pace we have maintained at all times.
