At 42K we continue to strengthen our commitment to national athletics and to the clubs that work every day with effort, enthusiasm and ambition to grow this sport from grassroots to elite. In this regard, it is a great honor for 42K to start 2026 as the technical brand of Club Atletismo Albacete, one of the most numerous and representative entities in Spanish athletics in recent decades.
Founded in 1981, Club Atletismo Albacete has a solid sporting track record and one of the broadest structures in Spanish athletics. Currently, the club brings together more than 1,500 people, with 815 boys and girls in its grassroots schools, 350 athletes in the adult school, 200 federated athletes and 150 recreational athletes, a dimension that reflects its enormous training capacity and social impact.
CA Albacete, an entity with history, present and a clear vision for the future
Over more than four decades, the club has built a project recognized both for its sporting results and for its commitment to developing athletics in all its forms.

Under the presidency of José Cambronero, national athletics coach, Club Atletismo Albacete has undergone a very significant evolution in recent years, especially in the areas of training and track. As the president himself explains:

“This growth has not meant giving up the competitive identity that has always characterized the club. Club Atletismo Albacete continues to be a national road racing medalist, in both men’s and women’s categories, and maintains a prominent presence among the best cross country teams in the country, in addition to accumulating numerous track team medals in junior categories.”
Values that remain intact despite growth
One of the aspects that best defines Club Atletismo Albacete is its ability to grow without losing its essence. Despite having become one of the largest sports structures in the country, the club continues to embrace a close and personal approach.
“Despite having grown enormously in recent years, we have continued to maintain our essence as a family club and prioritize personal contact with each of our athletes”, says Cambronero.
Comprehensive training is one of the pillars of the club’s sporting project. Beyond competitive performance, the club actively works to instill values such as camaraderie, discipline and responsibility, promoting that sports training and academic training always go hand in hand.
A sporting benchmark for the city of Albacete
The social and sporting dimension of Club Atletismo Albacete makes it a key player within the city’s sports ecosystem.
“We are the largest sports school in the city and a club that involves more than 1,500 people, which has allowed us to establish ourselves as one of the major sporting references in Albacete”, explains its president.

This impact transcends competition and reinforces the role of athletics as a tool for social cohesion, education and promotion of healthy lifestyles.
Regional and national reach
At the regional and national level, Club Atletismo Albacete occupies an absolutely unique position.
“We are the only club in the history of Castilla-La Mancha in the Honor Division and the only one that has managed to be a national team medalist in junior categories”, highlights Cambronero.
In addition, the club has established itself as a regular destination for regional and national talent. In the last decade, it has achieved a milestone that is difficult to match:
“We are the only team that in the last ten years has managed to be among the five best national teams in all the disciplines covered by the RFEA: cross country, road racing, track and trail running.”

An alliance based on shared values
The partnership between 42K and Club Atletismo Albacete stems from a common vision of sport: constant work, continuous improvement, commitment to athletes and the conviction that sports gear is a key tool for performance and competitive experience.

From 42K, as a technical brand specialized in running and athletics, we put at the service of the club latest generation kits, developed with a strong component of textile innovation. Our technical fabrics are designed to offer lightness, breathability, comfort and total freedom of movement, essential qualities to meet the demands of training and competition in all athletic disciplines.

Equipping a club with high-level athletes in sprints, distance, jumps or throws means understanding the specific needs of each specialty. In that sense, 42K’s ability to develop garments oriented to high sporting performance represents a key added value to support Club Atletismo Albacete in its day-to-day activities.
All the new garments for CA Albacete have been developed by the 42K CUSTOM Line, our line of personalized technical garments and accessories designed and manufactured to dress athletics clubs and sports groups.
In addition to equipping the Albacete club, 42K is the “skin” of many other athletics clubs throughout Spain, such as Valencia Club de Atletismo, Metaesport, Escuela de Atletismo Puentecillas, Unión Atlética Coslada, Club Deportivo Esteso Runners, Escuela de Atletismo Isaac Viciosa… As well as the Athletics Federation of the Valencian Community.
Looking to the future with ambition
The Club Atletismo Albacete project continues to grow with very defined objectives:
“We want to establish ourselves among the six best men’s track teams at national level, achieve promotion of the women’s team to the First Division, continue competing for national podiums in cross country, road racing and trail, and consolidate ourselves as the school with the most students at national level”, says Cambronero.

This agreement strengthens the presence of 42K in Spanish athletics and allows us to continue growing alongside clubs that, like Club Atletismo Albacete, work with passion, rigor and a clear vision for the future. One more step in our commitment to athletics, from grassroots to elite.
