At 42K, we continue to innovate to offer technical garments that meet the real needs of runners. That’s how GLIDE was born, our new collection of lightweight running windbreakers, designed for training and competing in cool or windy conditions without sacrificing comfort or freedom of movement.
A technical windbreaker isn’t meant to provide heat, but to manage the wind, improve comfort, and help you perform better without adding weight or stiffness to your movement.
GLIDE represents the perfect balance between protection, lightness, and sustainability, making it an essential outer layer for running and other outdoor activities.
WindLock fabric: effective protection with extreme lightness
The garments in the GLIDE collection are made with WindLock, a 100% recycled polyester technical fabric developed to offer effective protection against the wind without adding unnecessary weight.

Thanks to its lightweight structure, the WindLock fabric helps maintain body temperature during training in cool weather, avoiding a feeling of being overwhelmed during exertion. Its design promotes sweat wicking, helping to keep the body dry even during high-intensity sessions.
Functional design for running with freedom
The GLIDE collection has been designed to follow the runner’s natural movement. Its unisex standard fit guarantees comfort and excellent freedom of movement, adapting to different body types and running styles.

Each windbreaker features:
- Lightweight hood, designed to offer additional protection against the wind.
- Strategic back vents, which promote ventilation and improve breathability during exertion.
The result is a technical garment designed for running without distractions, focused on performance and comfort.
Unique prints thanks to roll-to-roll digital printing
One of the great distinguishing values of the GLIDE collection is its manufacturing process. Thanks to roll-to-roll digital printing technology, each garment features visual variations in the print, avoiding repetitive patterns.

This means that no two windbreakers are exactly alike: each piece is unique, while always maintaining the color and aesthetic coherence of the collection. An added value that combines innovation, design, and exclusivity.
Colors inspired by nature and the energy of movement
The GLIDE collection is available in three carefully selected colors, inspired by nature and the sensations of running:
- Stone Grey: sobriety, balance, and versatility.
- Chlorophyll Green: freshness, vitality, and connection with the natural environment.
- Flash Orange: energy, dynamism, and increased visibility.
A color palette designed to adapt to both daily training and outdoor outings in variable conditions.

GLIDE: lightness, protection, and sustainability for running in the wind
The garments in the GLIDE collection are ideal for those looking for a lightweight running windbreaker that is functional and sustainable. An outer layer designed to protect from the wind, facilitate ventilation, and accompany every stride with total freedom.
With GLIDE, 42K reinforces its commitment to textile innovation, high sports performance, and the use of recycled materials, offering a collection designed for runners who value technique, design, and respect for the environment.

The importance of a technical windbreaker like GLIDE
In running, wind can become a determining factor for comfort and performance. That’s why a technical windbreaker like GLIDE isn’t designed to provide warmth, but to efficiently manage the impact of the wind. Its main function is to create a lightweight barrier to reduce body heat loss caused by the wind chill effect (thermal sensation), especially in sensitive areas like the chest, neck, or abdomen, without compromising breathability.

Unlike a thermal jacket, a technical windbreaker maintains thermal balance during the run, allowing sweat to wick away and preventing overheating. This translates into a feeling of greater comfort and consistent effort, as the body doesn’t have to constantly adapt to temperature changes caused by the wind.
Additionally, its lightness and packability make it an extremely practical garment for training and competitions in changing conditions: it can be worn when the wind picks up and easily stored in a pocket, belt, or backpack when it’s no longer needed. Ultimately, a windbreaker like GLIDE is a key piece for running with freedom, protecting yourself from the wind, and performing at your best without adding weight or stiffness to your movement.
