Getting to know Héctor Tolsa a little
Héctor Tolsá García (Ontinyent, 07/01/2006) is one of the most promising young Spanish triathletes and has made his name competing for CEA Bétera and the Spanish national team. He started out in the multisport category at just 6 years old at the Triatlón Ontinyent club school, where he stayed until moving to CEA Bétera. The result he is most proud of so far is his silver medal at the 2022 European Youth Championships. In 2024 he came within touching distance of the podium at both the European and the World Championships.
In 2026 he faces what most experts consider the toughest season for any triathlete: the step up from junior to U23. Héctor makes his U23 debut at the Quarteira European Cup, and his goal is to establish himself as an U23 athlete in senior international competition, especially in World Cup races, a stage on which he has already competed three times: Valencia in 2024, and Japan and Korea in 2025. His big challenge for 2026 is to be on the start line of the U23 World Championships.

What you might not know about Héctor…
He often races cross-country to build towards the triathlon pre-season, and he is rather good at it: good enough to be called up by the Valencian Community team. One of his dreams is to stand on the podium at a World Championships and to break into the World Triathlon Series circuit.
