At 42K we know this well, which is why we’ve developed Elastter, our new premium fabric, created to deliver an unprecedented experience in comfort, lightness, freedom of movement, and sustainability.

Elastter: textile innovation in the service of performance

Elastter is the result of combining textile innovation with the experience, recommendations, and suggestions of dozens of runners who have worked with 42K to bring this new fabric to life. Made up of 88% recycled polyester and 12% spandex (a fibre known for its ability to stretch and return to its original shape without deforming), it’s the most advanced fabric in our catalogue, and it will be the technical fabric behind the new Apex and Deep collections.

Elastter’s structure is designed to meet the most demanding needs of today’s runner: lightness, stretch, breathability, and softness. All of this without giving up a firm commitment to sustainability, since a large part of its composition—88%—is recycled polyester.

Two-way stretch: total freedom with every stride

One of the key features that defines Elastter is its two-way stretch. This means the fabric not only adapts naturally to the body, but also follows your movements both vertically and horizontally, ensuring total freedom of movement in every training session and race.

Thanks to this property, Elastter prevents the feeling of tightness or stiffness that other, more traditional technical fabrics can have. Every stride, every movement, every push-off happens with natural fluidity, without the garment getting in the way of your running mechanics. Garments made with this fabric deliver exceptional comfort.

Ultralight and breathable

When it comes to tackling heat and humidity, Elastter also makes a difference. Since 2020, we’ve developed high-performance technical collections such as Elements, Ozone, Motion, and Pangea using 100% recycled fabrics like Infini_Tech and TriActive. Elastter represents a new step forward on this journey.

Using recycled polyester not only avoids the consumption of new raw materials, but also helps reduce waste and the environmental impact associated with the textile industry. This effort is part of our commitment to achieving an ambitious but necessary goal: by 2030, all our technical T-shirts will be made with recycled fabrics.

Debut in the Apex and Deep collections

Elastter’s debut in our Apex collection marks the start of a new chapter for 42K. This line of technical tank tops, available with a specific fit for men and women, has been designed to maximise performance with a perfect fit and a cutting-edge design. The Deep collection will follow very soon, also made with Elastter, continuing to explore new ways to combine design, technology, and sustainability.
