Infini_Tech, the sustainable soul of the Pangea collection

The Pangea collection was born from the desire to offer innovative high-performance garments that, in addition to meeting the technical needs of any runner, have a positive impact on the environment. To achieve this, all shirts in the collection are made with fabric Infini_Tech, an advanced technical material that uses 100% recycled polyester yarn from recycled plastic bottles.

This fabric not only represents an innovative solution from a sustainability standpoint, but also meets the most demanding standards in terms of breathability, lightness, comfort, and durability. The result is technical shirts that offer excellent performance in both training and competition, without compromising environmental commitment.

The Pangea collection consists of six unique 42K designs, each inspired by a continent: Europe, Asia, America, Africa, and Antarctica. Each design takes as reference the most representative colors of each continent, evoking the diversity of landscapes, cultures, and sensations that define our planet.

Each model captures the visual essence of the continent it’s named after, transporting runners through tones full of meaning.

• Africa: warm and vibrant tones that evoke desert dunes and fiery sunsets.
• America: vivid and dynamic colors that reflect the energy of its natural landscapes.
• Asia: serene and elegant shades inspired by its temples, gardens, and ancestral traditions.
• Europe: sophisticated tones that recall its historical and geological richness.
• Oceania: fresh and luminous colors that represent the blue of the Pacific and its unique coral formations.
• Antarctica: the coldness of the ice giant is expressed with ice blue tones over a predominant white.

The exclusive designs of this collection are created through sublimation on the front, creating an elegant contrast with a single color on the sleeves and back.

In addition to its striking aesthetics, each PANGEA shirt has been made with a top-quality technical fabric and an ergonomic pattern specially designed to meet the needs of the most demanding runners. This advanced fabric has received latest-generation treatments to guarantee maximum performance:

• Softlight: maximum softness for superior comfort.
• DryTec+: quick drying and optimal sweat wicking.
• DC4-Long Life Color: technology that guarantees the durability and intensity of colors wash after wash.

42K’s commitment to sustainability began in 2020

Pangea is not an isolated project. It’s part of a sustainability strategy that 42K launched in 2020, with the goal of transforming its technical shirt catalog by committing to the use of recycled fabrics. Since then, the brand has launched several iconic collections—Elements, Ozone, Motion, Stride, and now Pangea—all made with high-performance recycled fabrics.

The journey hasn’t been easy, but the results speak for themselves. Each recycled garment manufactured by 42K contributes to reducing plastic waste and a lower carbon footprint, without sacrificing design or functionality.

“From the very beginning we were clear that we wanted to offer more than just technical garments. We wanted to be an active part of change, to offer our customers an option that would allow them to perform at their best while making a responsible decision. The Pangea collection is another milestone in this mission”, says Guillermo Peñalver, manager of 42K.

In 2020, Infini_Tech fabric was introduced, the first 100% recycled fabric in the 42K catalog, and a couple of years later TriActive fabric was incorporated, also 100% recycled, which brought the Motion collection to life.

A clear roadmap: 2030 as the goal

The Pangea collection is not the end point, but another step toward a very ambitious goal: to reach 2030 with the entire 42K technical shirt catalog made exclusively with recycled fabrics. To achieve this, the brand continues to invest in textile R&D, developing new materials and collaborating with environmentally committed suppliers.
