Ozone, 100% recycled running t-shirts

Ozone is the new collection of 100% recycled running t-shirts from 42K with a fully sublimated design. The arrival of the Ozone collection, consisting of four designs with distinct patterns for men and women, is the big news in the 42K running t-shirt catalog for the 2022-2023 season.

Ozone becomes the second 100% recycled collection from our brand, following the 2020 release of the Elements collection.

42K took a very important step in 2020 by opting for the 100% recycled fabric Infini_Tech which brought the Elements running t-shirt collection to life, achieving resounding success from the moment of its launch. Countless runners have praised its quality and design, as have dozens of events and clubs that have chosen it since its appearance.

Ozone expands the catalog of technical running t-shirts made with 100% recycled Infini_Tech fabric, a top-quality technical fabric made from polyester yarn obtained from recycling used plastic bottles.

High-end ultralight running t-shirts

The most demanding athletes will find the best performance in Ozone running t-shirts thanks to the excellent breathability, softness, and lightness of their Infini_Tech fabric, a technical fabric made entirely from polyester yarn derived from the material that discarded plastic bottles are transformed into.

Additionally, this collection features latest-generation treatments to promote quick drying, softness, and color fixation to guarantee a product of the highest quality. Specifically, Ozone technical t-shirts have received the “Dry-Tec +” quick-drying treatment, the “Soft-Light” softness treatment to prevent irritation or chafing during intensive use, and the “DC4” color fixation treatment to prevent colors from losing their brightness and intensity over time and through washes.

Infini_Tech technical fabric, new life for plastic bottles

In 2020, 42K began using Infini_Tech fabric with the Elements running t-shirt collection, the first 100% recycled collection to join our catalog of technical t-shirts for runners. Since its birth in 2020, thousands upon thousands of runners have fallen in love with this collection for its excellent breathability, lightness, and softness.

Furthermore, many events in Spain and other countries such as Ireland, France, Portugal, or Italy have chosen the Elements collection as their official technical t-shirt due to its commitment to sustainability.

The polyester yarn that brings Infini_Tech to life is obtained from recycled material (small pellets called ‘pellets’) into which used plastic bottles are transformed.

More than 5 million plastic bottles recycled

At the time of the OZONE launch, more than 5 million PET plastic bottles have already been recycled since 2020 to generate the polyester yarn needed to manufacture this fabric.

Each OZONE t-shirt is made with the polyester yarn resulting from recycling approximately 20 500ml plastic bottles.

The commitment to recycling is a firm pledge by 42K as a contribution to environmental care, but also an important investment in sustainability, as it saves natural resources that are not infinite.
